Show Roosevelt Banker Attends Coast Banking School .Paul Murphy, Roosevelt State Bank teller, is enroute to Seattle, Washington to attend the sixth session of the Pacific Coast Banking School which will open August 2 at the University of Washington. The course of study will extend ex-tend over a two week period. Applicants accepted for enrollment enroll-ment are veterans of at least five years banking experience and must c6ntinue their work by extension courses throughout the year. As a first year student, Mr. Murphy's curriculum will include in-clude administration! of bank funds, loans and legal and current cur-rent problems. Special faculty for the session is composed of nationally recognized recog-nized educators, bankers, attorneys attor-neys and economists and includes in-cludes Dr. Raymond B. Allen, president, University of Washington; Wash-ington; Reno Odlin, president, Tacoma's Puget Sound National Bank, and a member of the Federal Fed-eral Reserve Board of Governors Gover-nors Advisory Council, and Dr. Marcus Nadler, world famed economist and director of the Institute of International Finance. Fi-nance. ; One hundred and thirty western wes-tern bankers are enrolled at the University of Washington for the banking course. Mr. Murphy and Calvin H. Swenson, cashier of the State Bank of Lehi, are the only Utahns in attendance. |
