Show Parents And Teachers Bidden To Regional Meet At Vernal, August 26 The Utah Congress of Parents and Teachers from Region 6 will convene at Vernal, August 26, Mrs. Hugh Col ton, Regional Director, Di-rector, disclosed this week. With their objective and theme, "P. T. A. Marches On," members of the educational betterment from Duchesne, Uintah and Dag-g'ett Dag-g'ett counties will hear state and national leaders discuss PTA and what it can do. Mrs. E. W. Emery, Washing- ton, D. C, Representative of the National Congress of Parents and Teachers will be the guest speaker, and Mrs. Charles Walker, Wal-ker, president of the State organization, or-ganization, will be on hand with a message from the Utah Congress Con-gress of Parents and Teachers. Subjects to be discussed at the August conference will be, "Why a- P.T.A. Organization," "How To Organize a P.T.A." and "What P.T.A. Has Done for Children' Everywhere and Can Do Here." A symposium will be conducted by two parents and two ' teachers on "School Education." Edu-cation." Morning meetings will be held from 10 a. m. to 12 noon with luncheon being served from 12 noon to 1:30 p. m. The afternoon session will embrace an hour and a half, from 2 p. m. to 3:30 p. m. |
