Show Myton Mrs. Grace Dalgleish Mrs. Floyd Lamb was hostess hos-tess to members of the Friday Bridge club at her ranch home Friday afternoon. Members present pres-ent were Mrs. Wm. Preece, Mrs. Wm. Koehler, Mrs. James Dalgleish, Dal-gleish, Mrs. W. H. Linck, Miss Alice Todd and Mrs. Bliss Lott. Mrs. R. II. Burdick, ,who is visiting visit-ing her sister, Mrs. Lott, was a club guest. First and second prizes for the four session scries were awarded to Mrs. Homer Robinson and Mrs. Linck. Mrs. James Bywater and daughter, La Ree, accompanied by her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Loyal Cox, of La-point, La-point, enjoyed two days in Salt Lake City where they attended the rodeo. Mark Curtis, of Provo, spent Wednesday night and Thursday in Myton visiting with his sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. Ncphi and Mrs, Levi Porritt. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Jones and children left last week for a visit in Idaho. They returned Monday evening. Mrs. R. H. Burdick arrived last week from Florida to spend the summer with her sister, Mrs. Bliss Lott. Claude Nebeker left Friday for Boise, Idaho," where he will be employed by Northrup-King Seed company. His father, Stanley Stan-ley Nebeker, acompanied him on the trip, returning home Mon-ray. Mon-ray. Miss Margaret Mary Harris reft Thursday for Sunnyside where she was joined by Patricia Morgan in a trip to Sanders, Arizona and Schurz, Nevada, where they will visit other schoolmates. Mrs. Ole Peterson' and son, Franklin, left Friday for Salt Lake City to enjoy the July 24 celebration. They expect to visit in Provo and Heber before returning. Mr. and Mrs. Syerl Dennis are enjoying a visit from Mr. Dennis' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan' Dennis, Den-nis, who arrived Saturday. They will also visit with other members mem-bers of the family while here. Wm. R. Preece Sr. went to Salt Lake City Friday on a business busi-ness trip. While there he visited with his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. R. Preece, Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gingell are now in Salt Lake City after going' to Price to seek medical attention for Mr. Gin'gell. He is under observation in Salt Lake City, but no further information is available regarding his condition. condi-tion. Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Jolley and son, of Salt Lake City, are attending at-tending to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gin'gell during their absence. ab-sence. Mrs. Jolley is Mrs. Gin-gell's Gin-gell's daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gentry and daughter, of Ioka, were Myton My-ton business visitors Monday. Albert Tanner came from Carbon Car-bon county to spend the weekend week-end with his mother, Mrs. George Tanner. Wesley Jenson", who is employed employ-ed at Bonanza, came home to spend the weekend with his wife and two' small daughters. Mrs. Jenson and the girls accompanied accompan-ied him on his return to Bonanza and expect to spend 2 or 3 weeks there. Many 'baseball fan's accompanied accompan-ied the Myton team to Montwcl July 24th to see an excellent game, with a nice purse being won by "our boys" who turned in a score of 17 to' 6 against a picked team from Montwel, Neola and other parts of that district. They were not so lucky Sunday when they crossed bats with the Roosevelt team at Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, losing a close game with the score of 5 to 2. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Yergensen enjoyed a weekend visit from Mr. and Mrs. Dee Allred, of Sigurd. Sig-urd. Mrs. Allred is Mrs Yergen-scn's Yergen-scn's sister, the former Kathleen Borg, who made her home with the Yergensens for several years and attended the Roosevelt high school while here. Earl Fowler, Sr. was honored Sunday when his family gathered gather-ed to celebrate his 50th birthday anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Fowler, Jr. and family, Mr. and Mrs. Thco Aston and daughter, Mrs. Marion Madsin and son, of Orem, and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Clif-ford Mace and family, of Proyo, came to join the members "of the Fowler family who reside here in the weekend reunion. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Monies were weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Hartman at Mt. Emmons. Homer Robinson went to Salt Lake City, Friday on a business trip, returning home Saturday night, Mrs. Nina Cheney, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Petters and daughter,' Donna, of Los Angeles, Calif., were visitors at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Davenport Daven-port from Friday till Sunday. They were enroute to their home after spending a month in the eastern states and Canada. Mr. and Mrs. Acel Bingham arid children, who have been residing re-siding at Garrison, Utah, returned return-ed home Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Ashel Bingham are again making- their home in Myton while Mr. Bingham awaits transfer to another district. He has been employed on a contract near Garrison. James Davenport, who has resided re-sided with his parents for several sever-al months, left Sunday for Salt Lake City, where he will be employed, em-ployed, Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Thome and children left Friday for their new home at Pleasant Grove. Both Mr. and Mrs. Thorne have taught in the Myton elementary school during the past 3 years and their departure is sincerely regretted, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Morrell purchased the Thorne home and moved from the Miller property to their new home, Monday. Mon-day. Tony Campos came from Tooele Too-ele Friday to get his wife and children, who have been visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Felix Quintana. Three of their children remained for a longer visit. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Hancock and their guests, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Lloyd and son, Glen, and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Stansfield, of Taft, California, returned Monday Mon-day from a week's fishing at the lakes above Dry Gulch. They report re-port excellent luck. Other members mem-bers of the party were Forrest Hancock and Devere Hancock. Wm. R. Foutz, of Portland, Ore., visited with Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish Monday, when enroute to Duchesne to visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hart. Mr. Foutz has been in Baltimore, Maryland, during the past year and is now returning to his home. He is a former resident resi-dent of Aspen, Colorado, the home town of Mr. and Mrs. Hart. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mathews and son, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Moon, pf Riverton, spent Saturday night with Mr. and Mrs. Truman Mitchell at the W. C. Hancock ranch. They went to Upalco Sunday Sun-day to' visit other relatives. Dinner guests at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Ur-esk, Ur-esk, Sr. on the 24th of July were Rudy Krissman and Wm. Kriss-man, Kriss-man, of Vernal; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. R. Preece, Mrs. Wm. For-sythe, For-sythe, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Adams, Ad-ams, Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish, Dal-gleish, Ms. I. R. Tuttle, Miss Betty Jean Jenson', Mr. and Mrs. Dan Uresk and children, and Mr. and Mrs. Antone Uresk. Miss Ruth Gaylor, of Salt Lake City, arrived Monday to visit at the home of her mother, Mrs. Milton Lott. |
