Show Parade And Rodeo Provide Colorful July 24th Show Roosevelt's July 24 miniature parade, featuring youngsters in character costumes and floats depicting pioneer life was hailed, this week, as Roosevelt's first real effort toward an appreciation apprecia-tion of juvenile effort. Mrs. Howard Ivory, general chairman, and her committee members from the two L D S wards were lauded for successfully success-fully producing a colorful juvenile juven-ile event. First prize for the best parade entree went to' the Walt Redmond Red-mond children for their float representing a coverccr wagon; 2nd prize was awarded to Charles Timothy for a handcart float and 3rd spot went to Homer Cook for his characterization of an Indian. Concessions were under the direction of the Relief Society with Mildred Smith in charge. Attendance at Art Allen's rodeo, ro-deo, which furnished two evenings eve-nings of entertainment for July 24 celebrants was reported as good. Allen announced this week that he will stage another show within! a month or six weeks. Winners of final money in the rodeo events were: Saddle bronc, Ken Smith, Myton, 1st; John Chivington, 2nd; Bernard Moon, l Jensen, 3rd.
