Show Neighborhood News Mre A. E. Jones, Mrs. A. W. Larsen, Mrs. Joseph L. Lund and Mrs. P. C. Lund were special guests. Miss Bemice Selley of the Utah Tuberculosis Tu-berculosis Association visited Mount Pleasant on Friday in the interest of a tuberculosis committee for the North Sanpete District. The Utah Tuberculosis Tubercul-osis Association, successor to the Utah Public Health Association, is being completely reorganied and permanent i tuberculosis committees are being 'formed. The annual Christmas Sea! Sale will be conducted through the mail and the headquarters will be in Mount Pleasant. No seals will-be sold by the school children this year. A percentge of the funds raised will remain re-main in the hands of the North Sanpete San-pete Tuberculosis Committee to be spent on tuberculosis work. Mrs. S. D. Longsdorf has been appointed ap-pointed chairman with the following committee members from Mount Pleasant: Pleas-ant: Superintendent A. E. Jones, A. L. Petehson, Keith Throndsen of the Wasatch Wa-satch Acdemy. Representatives will be named from the other towns in the district and a mailing list will be prepared pre-pared so that the sale of Seals will open soon after Thanksgiving. The handling of the seal sale through the mail has been founa to be the most successful method. Seals are mailed out to the individual with a letter ex-planning ex-planning the program of work and the need for raising funds and asking the individual to buy as many seals as possible pos-sible and return his remittance In the stamped addressed envelope enclosed. The letters are returned to the committee com-mittee who will check them over and credit the individual with his contribution. contri-bution. The names on the back of the return envelope are for identification and shouldn't be scratched off or it will be impossible to give credit to the person per-son sending in his remittance. |
