Show Neighborhood News A group of girls pleasantly surprised sur-prised Miss Ina Madsen, Friday evening, August 1st, it being her birthday anniversary. Progressive games were played with Alice See-ly See-ly winning first prize and Blanche Seely won the consolation prize. Refreshments were served. Those present were the Misses Alice Seely, Pearl Hafen, Clara Reynolds, Callie Hansen, Anna Sorensen, Mabel Johansen, Jo-hansen, Blanche Seely, Lura Mor-ley Mor-ley and Ina Madsen. Mrs. M. B. Hansen enteretained Tuesday afternoon, August 5th in honor of her birthday anniversary. A nice luncheon was served to four couples. The Progressive club met at the home of Mrs. Ernest McArthuv on August 1st. i"in5 members and four special guests were present. Mi's. W. Brandon was elected president presi-dent of the club for the next six months. Refreshments were serv-ede serv-ede and the. afternoon was enjoyed by all present. Miss LoElla Ericksen who is taking tak-ing training for nurse at the I... D. S. hospital, Salt Lake City, is spending her vacation at the home of her parents, Mr and Mrs. Am-asa Am-asa Ericksen, in this city. Miss Frances Phillips who i.-s taking tak-ing nurses training at the St. Marks hospital, is spending her vacation va-cation in this city with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. L. A. Phillips. Mr. and Mrs. N. F. Jensen and Mrs. Clare Jensen of Salt Lake, are visiting relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Lavar Averett and son Jack of Emmett, Idaho, and Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Carter of Lund Nevada, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Frandsen, parents 01 Mrs. Averett and Mrs. Carter, lasl week. Miss Blanche Larsen was a recent re-cent visitor in Cokevllle, Wyoming guest of Miss Bernice Haggerty. |
