Show Mrs. Hampshire Passes Away Mrs. Elizabeth Ann West Hampshire, Hamp-shire, widow of the late Charles Hampshire, died at her home Thursday from ailments incident to old age, following a months illness. Mrs. Hampshire, daughter of Thomas and Harriett Moore West, was born September 21, 1840 at Kanesville, now Council Blufts, Iowa. She with her parents, crossed the plains in Captain Moses Dalley's Company in 1853. She came to Mt. Pleasant in 1860, and on August 19, 18G7 was married mar-ried to Charles Hampshire. Her husband died March 25, 1922 She was the mother of eleven children. For forty years she was a faithful Relief Society teacher. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Melissa Winters of Chester, Idaho; the following children Mrs. George M. Olson and Byron Hampshire, Mt. Pleasant; Samuel Hampshire. Orem, Utah; Mrs. Stephen Barnson. Mrs. Harry Saddler and Mrs. Orlando Or-lando Bradley, all of San Diego. California; also 25 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildrenr Funeral services will be held from the North ward chapel Monday at 2 p. m. with Bishop Henry P. Olson I in charge. |
