Show Candland Given Tax Job In Co. A branch of the Citizens- Tax Revision League is assured for Sanpete San-pete County as a result of the announcement just made from the State headquarters in Salt Lake. This league has been formed for the purpose of making a campaign to acquaint the people with the purposes and needs of the constitutional consti-tutional amendments which are coming before them at the fall ; lections. As a result of conferences with a number of local leaders the league has appointed Mr. W. D. Candland ci Mt. Pleasant to take a leadership leader-ship in the league's campaign this fall as district chairman. Mr. Candland is well known in the county and will represent this section sec-tion cn the state executive committee com-mittee of the central organization as well. Mr. Candland will take charge oi organizing a branch of the league in the district embracing Saniete county and will doubtless call other civic leaders to assist him in this work. The Citizens' Tax Revision League was formed in Salt Lake recently with the election of W. W. Armstrong, Arm-strong, former chairman of the tax commission as its president; Speaker David L. Stine of the house of representatives, David Hirschi of the house of representatives represen-tatives and Julian Bamberger, Salt Lake businessman, as its vice presidents. presi-dents. The purpose of the organization is to carry on a general educational campaign on behalf of its membership member-ship and the citizens generally to acquaint the people with the purposes pur-poses and needs of the constitutional constitu-tional amendments which will be voted at the fall elections. The league is non-partisasn and is intended in-tended to become primarily a league ,i citizens who desire to acquaim themselves with the propossd constitutional con-stitutional changes on which they will be expected to vote next November No-vember 4.
