Show Safety Rules In England a special campaign is being conducted to reduce the number of fatalities to children on the Highways. Need for a similar campaign exists in this country. The Britisn have promulgated and are advartising some "safety rules" which are being called to the attention of children everywhere They are worth the attention of our own children. They are: 1 Always stop before crossing the roadway, look right and left, then s all clear cross quickly. 2. Always cross busy streets where there is a policeman or ref uge if vou possibly can. 3. Always face traffic when stepping step-ping off the pavement. 4. Always looks out for motois turning corners. 5. Always look and listen for warning signals. 6. Always look before running into the roadway on leaving school or to fetch your ball or hoop. 7. Always wait till the bus or train stops before getting on oi off. 2. Always guide younger children child-ren across the road. 9. Never run behind or hold on to motors, lorries, carts or other vehicles. 10. Never tlirow each other's caps or push each other into the roadway. road-way. 11. Never ride on the step of another's bicycle. |
