Show j FAIRVIEW j ', By Special Correspondence Mr. and Mrs. Ernest L. Minei and family of Heiner were guests of Fairview friends and relatives during the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Miner and Miss Lena Miner of Salt Lake City-were City-were guests of Fairview friends and relatives on Memorial Day. Memorial Day was a home-coming day at Fairview as many oic1 residents returned to spend the day. Mrs. Mary Miner Lee and her daughter and two children from Salt Lake City visited with friends and relatives at Fairview and Mt. Pleasant. Mr. and Mrs. Eli A. Day Jr. and family of Greenriver, Wyoming, were guests of friends and relatives rela-tives here on Decoration Day. Maxwell B. Cox and Miss Ruth Jorgensen were married Wednesday, Wednes-day, June 3rd in the Manti Temple. Mr. and Mrs. Ccx have left on a honeymoon trip through Wyoming, North and South Dakota. Mr. and Mrs. A. U. Miner and small children, Mr. and Mrs. Orsen Miner and Bishop and Mrs. Henry Jones and family went to Spring-ville Spring-ville Thursday to attend the annual an-nual Miner's reunion. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Brady and family of Castle Dale returned to Fairview for Memorial Day. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Vance of Murray were guests of relatives and friends here last weekend. Mrs. Basil Jensen of Elsinore has been a guest of her mother, Mrs. Hans Madsen, during the past week. Mrs. Randa Coombs went to Salt Lake to spend Memorial Day. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Bench have been in Fairview for the last week visiting with relatives and friends. Mrs. Ellis Coombs has gone to Provo to see her daughter Esther take out her Bachelor of Science degree at Brigham Young University. Univers-ity. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Rasmussen have returned home from Richfield Rich-field where Mr. Rasmussen has been teaching school. Mr. and Mrs. Orson Peterson and family of Eureka visited relatives in Fairview on Decoration Day. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Coombs of Salt Lake have purchased a home in Fairview, formerly owned by Albert Clement. They expect to make their home here. The La Jolla club met Thursday at the home of Mrs. Shirley Jensen. Jen-sen. After the program the time was spent in making paper flowers. Wednesday evening the club members mem-bers dressed as hoboes took a hike. A program and weiner roast was enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Evan James of Castle Gate spent the past weekend week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Dan James. Mr. and Mrs. Randsome Stevens and family of Castle Gate spent Memorial Day at Fairview. Mr. and Mrs. Ho Brady and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Madsen of Salt Lake spent the weekend here. Leon Howell has taken over the Service Inn formerly managed by Neldon Young. |
