Show i 1 I SPRING CITY I By Special Correspondence ) Most impressive funeral services were held Satiuday at 3 p. m. in the Spring City ward chapel for Mrs. Ardenda Dahl Thompson who died Wednesday, June 3rd from injuries suffered that day in an automobile accident near Farm-mgton. Farm-mgton. Bishop James F. Ellis presided. Music was under the direction of Ernest Terry. The speakers were James W Blain, William Robinson, Farrel Sorenson and Bishop Ellis. Special musical numbers were-duet, were-duet, Mrs. Libbie A. Allred and Mis. Jessie B. Schofield; violin solo, Elva Anderson, accompanied by Ei-ma Allred; solo, Maeser Bunnell; Bun-nell; solo, Mr. Jensen of Salina: solo. Reverend Zanosky. Prayers were offered by C. A. Larsen and James Blain. Interment was in the city cemetery. The chapel was filled to capacity with friends from near and lar who came to pay respecet to the departed and extend sympathy to the surviving nusband, parents and children. A service was held in Ogden on Friday Fri-day where Mr. and Mrs. Thompson had made their home since 1920. Ardenda Dahl Thompson was born in Spring City, October 27, 1893, the daughter of Niels and Veletta Clawson Dahl. Besides her parenets, she is survived by her husband, J. C. Thompson; and three daughters, Geniel, Merle and Luella of Ogden; one brother, Ru-icn Ru-icn Dahl of Spring City; three sisters, Mrs. George Rackman of Ogden, Mrs. R Robensen of Para-gonah, Para-gonah, and Miss Dortha Dahl of Spring City. Mrs. Thompson was an active Relief Society worker in the 10th ward of Ogden. Mr. Thompson also suffered injuries in the accident, but he was able to attend the services. Mrs. Jack MerrUl and children of Paul, Idaho are visiting here with Mrs. Merrill's grandparents, Mr. ana Mrs. Louis Black and other oth-er relatives. Seymour Beck of Paul, Idaho, is visiting relatives in Spring City this week. Mrs. Jessie Billington and son Louis are here from Idaho as guests of Mrs. Mina Larsen. Mrs. lone Treton oT Murray is visiting here as the guest of her grandmother, Mrs. Agnes Craw-iord. Craw-iord. Honoring William Robinson on his sixty-ninth birthday anniversary annivers-ary on Friday, June 5th, the children chil-dren and grandchildren of Mr. and Mrs. Robinson entertained at a dinner at his home Twenty -one children and grandchildren were present. Mr. Robinson is an active church worker and has been superintendent of the Sunday School for a number of years. He is a farmer by occupation. Mrs. Frank Larsen and children of Fairview are here visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brough in this city. Mr. and Mrs. I. L. Brough, announce an-nounce the birth of a son at their home, Saturday, June 6th. Mrs. Rose R. Schofield left for Salt Lake City Sunday where she will attend Primary Convention this week. Mr. and Mrs. Velao Covert are the proud parents of a son born last week. The little boy is a grandson of Warren Allred and a great-grandson of Mrs. Simon T Beck of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Mickelsen announce the birth of their fourth daughter on Tuesday of this week. Miss Loa Allred left Thursday-tor Thursday-tor Salt Lake City where she will attend Summer School at the University Uni-versity of Utah. ( Mrs. Ross Allred is visiting in Salt Lake this week with her, daughter, Mrs. George Potts. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Larsen and two daughters Inameade and Eula of Bingham were visitors here for Decoration Day at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew An-drew Madsen. Mrs. Dean Schofield, son Jay and daughters May and Beth of Rupert, Idaho, are visiting at the Andrew Madsen home. |
