Show ; Sanpete County 4-H Clubs Successful Annual Outing Thursday, August 15th, the 4th annual an-nual 4-H Sanpete County Club outing out-ing was successfully carried out at the Palisade Park east of Sterling with a lot of successful accomplishments. accomplish-ments. The results of the club stunts were as follows: Epnralm second year cooking cook-ing club presented the 4-H Vanity Case and carried on nrst prize; Gunnison Gun-nison 2nd year sewing club presented The Wedding of the Painted Doll; Fairview 2na year sewing club presented pre-sented a reading; Manti first year cooking club, Gunnison second year cooking club, Axtell first year sewing club and the Temple City calf club presented songs and stunts. County Agriculture Agent Smith of Juab gave a short talk. Lawrence Lowry, president of tne Sanpete County Fair Association invited them to bring their exhibits to the fair. After the meeting games and swimming were enjoyed by all. At the 4th annual Sanpete County club outing there were 410 members present. Eleven communities were represented a total of 36 clubs were represented. A contest was held for the club having the largest number of members mem-bers present. The following five clubs tied for first place: Ephraim 3rd year sewing club under the direction di-rection of Larue Jensen; Axtell 2nd year sewing club under the direction of Mrs. Warren Ireland; Moroni 1st year sewing club under the direction of Miss Erma Johnson; Mayfield 1st year sewing club uncer the direction of Mabel Larsen; and Ephraim 2nd year cooking club under the direction direc-tion of Mrs. Ludeal Nielson. A 4-H club banner will be awarded each winning win-ning club. A wonderful time was enjoyed by all, and all are looking forward to the annual 4-H club outing next year. |
