Show FREEDOM. Mrs. Edwin Simonsen and fatnil. have returned home from Garfield Gladden Taylor of Salt Lake cit has been visiting with his mother Mrs. Elizabeth Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Johnsen 0f Fountain Green spent Sunday with Mis. Mary E. Simonsen. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Despain and Bessie Taylor are Mount Pleasant visitors. i Miss Ella Taylor is home from Nephi where she has been visiting w i'li lier aunt, Mrs. James Chace Miss Margurete Bywater is home after an extended visit with her sis ter, Mrs. George Billingston of Nephi Mrs. Haler Taylor is home from Manti where she has been a few months with her parents. she brought home with her a fine bahy girl.. Mrs. Lewis of Manti was a visitor at the Relief Society, demonstrating food conservation. Loren E. Taylor has left for port McDoweL, California to be one 0 Uncle Sam's boys. A program and picnic was given him on May 10. a very large crowd was in attendance A purse of $36.85 was given him. Songs and recitations were features of the evening and Bishop Lee Tay-or, Tay-or, Joseph II. Draper, Samuel Gee and John R. CliiiRer spoke words of cheer. Mrs. Carl Livingstone read a patriotic .H'ed elkn of the fut.i ri four years hence. A neighbor hf!v who w as not able to attend and- who has known this young man from earliest infancy sent him a contribution contribu-tion with the following lines- "Except "Ex-cept my best wishes for your safety and honor. May the bles3ins;3 of God be with you and watch over you that you may be able to help gain the victory over the Kaiser. Good bye Loren. God bless you. Your sincere friend, Mary E. Simonsen." Mr. Taylor Tay-lor was escorted to Manti by two automobiles filled with the following persons: James Lund, Mr. and Mrs. V. H. Tay.lor, Misses Ella and Audry Taylor, Harold Despain, Mr. and Mrs. Dell Taylor, and Mr. and Mrs. Ira L. Despain. Several Freedom people attended Priesthood meeting at Mount Pleasant Pleas-ant last Sunday. An accident occured Sunday evening even-ing when the car of Will Christensen ran into the buggy of Chester John-sen John-sen of Fountain Green. The following were in the car: Lorena Gee, Ella Taylor and Will Christensen. The car and buggy were both broken. Chester was thrown from the buggy but was not hurt. Ella Taylor was hit in the face by some part of the buggy which cut her mouth severely, knocking one tooth out, breaking another an-other and loosening two others.
