Show FAIR VIEW Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Peterson are visiting Ih's. Peterson's relatives at Olc: wood this week. Mrs. Douglas Sanderson went to Ga'land Sunday to visit relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Sanderson visited visit-ed at Fairview th's week. Mr. Lawrence Larsen of Salt Lake Ciiy was the guest of Miss Dot Chris-tensen Chris-tensen last week. Mr. Rosc.oe Wright of Springville was the guest, of Miss Izetta Miner th's week. The Stork left baby girls at the following fol-lowing homes ihe past week: Mr. andMrs. Nels Hansen's May 8; Mr. and Mrs. Cleon Anderson's May 11; Mr. and Mrs. Myron Vance May 15: -Mr. and Mrs. Henry Terry May 16. Mr. and Mrs. Will Anderson are rejoicing re-joicing over the arrival of a baby boy at their home on May 12. Miss Chloe Sh"-pard of Mona was a Fairview visitor the fore part oT the week. Mrs. Verona Whiting of St. Johns, Arizona, was the guest of Mrs. John L. Bench and visited other relatives here this week. Mrs. G. T. Coleman of Thistle.spent the past week in fairview. She left Monday for Butte, Montana, where she1 will visit a month with her brother, broth-er, Stanley Snow. Orus Cluff of Richfield was the guest of Miss Laurel Miner Tuesday and Wednesday. Douglas Sanderson left Tuesday for Boulder, Colorado, where he goes to work for Uncle Sam. Mr. and Mrs. Brooks of Salt Lake City are guests at the home of Mrs. Brook's parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Snow this week. Mr. Brooks is con-valesing con-valesing -from an operation he underwent under-went in April. Mrs. James Brown of Mountain-ville Mountain-ville died of Pneumonia Wednesday evening, May 15. She was only ill five days. She leaves a family of six small children and her husband to'' mourn her loss. Mrs. Brown was formerly a Springville girl. Mrs. Floren Peterson entertained at dinner Friday-evening in honor of William Pritchett and Miss Mae Madsen. Mad-sen. Mr. Pritchett left the following day for Salt Lake City. Miss Johnson of Salt Lake City visited with Miss Izetta Miner the past week. Hjalmer Landgreen spent a few days with his parents this week. The Sunday School will celebrate May Day on the 22nd. Miss Pearl Peterson will be the Queen of May with Vivian Madsen and Esther Coombs as her attendants. On May 12, a number of the friends of Mrs. Clara Peterson .surprised her in honor of her birthday. A very pleasant afternoon was spent. Dainty refreshments were served to about fifteen ladies. Mrs. Hamilton was given a surprise sur-prise party last Monday by a number of her friends and relatives, in honor of her birthday. The time was spent in social chat and an excellent supper served. The Daughters of the Black Hawk Veterans spent a pleasant afternoon at the home of Mrs. Rachael Brady, Wednesday. A good program of tongs and speeches was given, after which refreshments were served to twenty-two guests. The ninth grade of Fairview en-tei en-tei tained the ninth grades of Spring .City and Mount Pleasant Monday evening at the school Gymnasium. The evening was spent in dancing. Cake and punch were served. Miss Flora Bothers of Provo is the guest of Welby Turpin. |
