Show FAIRVIEW Miss Arvilla Zabriskie of American Fork visited her sister, Mrs. II. W. Sanderson, Jr., the past two weeks. Miss Constance Brady has been down from Salt Lake City during the holidays visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Brady. Lucile Tucker has been in Fair-view Fair-view from Salt Lake City spending the holidays with relatives and friends. Miss Katherine Thompson of Eph-raim Eph-raim was the guest of Miss Roenna Day last week. Mr. Herman Mangelson of Levan spent the holidays at Fairvicw, the guest of John Cliristensen. Mr. Bert Willardson of lOphraim was the guest of Miss Sophrouia Ol-sen Ol-sen the past week. Miss Leslie Stewart is spending a month visiting her sister and other relatives in Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Emil OhristoiiHcn of Salt Lake City came to Fairview to spend the holidays. Miss Selma Jensen who is teaching at Cleveland was the guest of Mr. Cleon Anderson last week. Mrs. Mary Tucker spent the past we.elt visiting with her daughters at Salt Lake City. The roof of the kitchen of the Lafayette Rollins was burned off last Friday. The fire was caused by an overheated stove pipe. The Homo Dramatic club and the Mutual put tin the New England nlay, "firookdale Farm" at the Opera) House January 4th, to a large and ipprnc.liit.lvo audience. The performers perform-ers received many compllmontfl. In I t. fact it was one of the best given bj homo talent in a long time. The "company" is preparing anothei at present which they think is just as good and which they intend putting put-ting on January 11th. The Ladies' Literary club met January 6th at the home of Mrs, J. H. Sanderson. Mrs. Minnie E. Sanderson was put in as secretary. Mrs. Nellie Carlston gave a reading entitled "England and her People." Mrs. Annie Cliristensen also gave a reading, entitled "Our Trade with South America." Current events were given by Mrs. Helen Graham. A vocal solo by Mrs. Geneva Larson. About a dozen ladies enjoyed the social so-cial hour and dainty refreshments were served. The ladies' annual ball held December 29th was the social so-cial event of the season. The funeral services of Mi-b. Annette An-nette Tucker who died In Idaho was held in Fairview January 2nd. The speakers were bishop II. P. Hansen, Samuel Bills and Bruce Cox. All spoke well of the life of the Deceased and also of her labors. The large attendance at-tendance at the funeral showed the esteem In which she was held. Mis. Tucker was In her sixty-ninth year. She leaves a large posterity, seven sons and two daughters and a host of grand children and great grand children to mourn her loss. Mr. and Mrs. Tyson Tucker and Charles Tucker accompanied the remains re-mains or Mrs. Tucker homo from Idaho. Mr. Peter Nordstrom also came home to attend the funeral of Mrs. Tucker and spent tho week with his |
