Show SUGAR COMPANY ASKS FOR BEETS Last Wednesday evening Parley , Austin, Superintendent of Sugar Beet culture for the Utah Idaho Sugar Co. at Lehi, Moroni Jensen, 4, Superintendent of beet culture of , Elsinore and Peter Anderson, field f Superintendent and manager at llr I Moroni were here in Mount Pleasant and convened with a large number of farmers at the City Hall anddis-cussed anddis-cussed the advisibility of growing sugar beets at Mt. Pleasant. They told of the sucesses the farmers of Moroni and elsewhere are having in growing sugar beets and the most progressive farmers of Mount Pleasant Plea-sant have decided to grow sugar beets this season. The price to be paid is $4.75 per ton for the beets delivered on the cars at the depot. The farmers are asked to grow 100 acres or more of sugar beets this season sea-son and prepare more laud for moro beets next year. The sugar company is after all the sugar beets they can get and now is the time for the farmer farm-er to prepare his land and get ready for a crop that will always be Bold for cash. t- |
