Show Funeral Services Held For Miss Irene Rolfson Funeral services for Miss Irene Rolfson were held at the North Ward Chapel Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Bishop H. C. Jacobs Presiding. A very large number of people were in attendance to pay their last respects to Irene and her family. Beautiful flowers in profusion pro-fusion covered the casket. The choir was present and furnished fur-nished sacred music. The opening hymn was "Sweet Hour of Prayer." Elder Wm. Olson offered the opening open-ing prayer. The following hymn was "Sometime We'll Understand." Elder Jacob Hafen spoke of her true loving character and of her friendship friend-ship which she had gained in their home. An organ solo was rendered by Mr. Harrison. Pres. A. Merz gave the young lady a most excellent tribute of her true devotion to her church and of the pleasant disposition disposi-tion which she had. Wilford Hafen sang "O My Father" and Pres. C. N. Lund was the next speaker. Bishop Jacobs made the closing remarks mentioning her genuineness as a young lady. The choir sang "Nearer "Near-er My God to Thee", and Elder Jas. W. Anderson closed the services by prayer. The grave was dedicated by Bishop Dorius of Ephraim . Irene was the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Niels Rolfson. She was in her twenty-third year auu leaves father and mother and three sisters. Those who came here from other places to attend the funeral were Bent Rolfson of Schofield, Utah Jake Rolfson and Lowell Winchester of Shoshone, Idaho, and Hyde Wilcox Wil-cox of Hayburn, Idaho.. |
