Show FAIRVIEW Miss Helena Pederson went to Salt Lake last week. The stork called at the home of Harry Rasmussen last week and left them a fine baby boy. Dr. John R. Anderson left Friday for Wyoming where he expects to stay if he can find a suitable location. Mrs. George Mower, Jr., and children chil-dren are visiting relatives at Center-ville. Center-ville. i Mrs. Carl Sundwall and! children are spending ten days with relatives at Provo. On Monday, June 14th, Miss Mary Sundwall and Mrs. Peter Sundwall left for California wherethey go to attend the Panama Exposition. C. P. Olsen, Mrs. H. S. Olsen and Miss Belva Cpx went to Salt Lake City to attend the Mutual conferenece last week. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stewart returned from Nephi last week, and Mr. Stewart Stew-art left this week for Chicago where he goes to attend Summer School. Mrs. Stewart will spend the summer here. The City Council has lately had pavement put across the street in the center of the block in the main business section of Fairview. They have also paved a walk from the street to the City Hall, The annual "Old Folks Day" will be celebrated at Fairview June 18th. A good program aiui dinner will be given at the pavilion. The picture show and dance in the evening will be given free to all over sixty years of ae. M.ss Mabel Lassen left Tuesday for California where she goes to attend at-tend the Exposition. She will visit a short time at Salt Lake. Her mother Mrs. Andrew Lassen; Miss Emily and Miss Agnes Lassen will join her there and they will all go to the Exposition together. Oscar Christense came down from Ogdcn the 10th and spent a few lays wlih his family and relatives. He went this week to Chicago to attend at-tend the graduating exercises of his medical school where he will receive his cfTplonia (hat makes him an M. I). He was honored by being the president presi-dent of his class. Miss Leona Olsen, daughter of Mrs. 5lena Olsen, died June 12th from heart trouble. Miss Olsen was seventeen seven-teen years old and has been in poor health for several rears. Funeral services were held in the L. I). S. Chapel. June 15th. C. P. Olsen, Dr. Kdmunds. Bishop H. P. Hansen and Burns Cox all spoke well of her and nflered words of consolation to those bereaved. The large attendance at til" funeral showed esteem in which she was heir. , Floral offerings were many and beautiful. Ten of her girl friends dressed in white marched in front of the hearsP carrying carry-ing flowers. Six of her boy friends acted as pall bearers. Music was furnished fur-nished by the Ward Choir and a song was sung by Bibhor. Hausen. |
