Show NEIGHBORHOOD NEWS Born to the wife of Lawrence Larsen, a fine baby boy, Tuesday, June 15, 1915. Mrs. S. E. Jensen and daughter, Crystal went to Castle Dale this week to visit with Harold, who is running a large ranch at that place. Mrs. Benjamin R. Johnson went to Ogden this week to make arrangements arrange-ments to reuurn to Mount Pleasant and make her future home in this city. A farewell dancing party was given at the Opera House last Friday evening even-ing in honor of Joseph Franklin Seely who departed the following Monday for a mission to the Central States. Elder Seely is a son of Joseph Seely and a large number of his friends showed their respect to the young man by assisting him on his way with a purse of about one hundred dollars. He left a large number of his friends at the depot who bid him farewell and wished him every success on his trip. Mrs. A. S. Neilson and daughter, daugh-ter, Roxy of Long Beach, California Cali-fornia came to Mount Pleasant Tuesday to visit with relatives. Miss Stella Olson went to Salt Lake City last Wednesday to visit a month or more with her brother, Berkley. Mrs. R, A. Burch is visiting at her mother's home at Salina. Mrs. K. LeRoy Barton returned re-turned home from Spanish Fork where she has been visiting visit-ing with her mother. J. A. Blickensderfer, Lawrence Law-rence McCullock and C. W. Nis-son Nis-son are in Mt. Pleasant working work-ing in the interest of Montos-souri Montos-souri Education. Mrs. S. G. Clark of Bieulleld was visitor at the home of her sister, Mrs. Abram Johnson Monday and Tuesday. Mrs. Orlando Bradley of Provo has been visiting with Iter mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Hampshire this week. Dr. and Mrs. Ray Gledhill of Richfield came to Mt. Pleasant in their automobile and have been visiting at the Barton home for a few clays. Mrs. Eph Hansen, Mrs. Cornelia Cor-nelia Neilson and Leora Carlson Carl-son left yesterday for a visit with Mrs" Emil Kelsen at Eph-raim. Eph-raim. Miss Beta Ericksen returned return-ed last Friday from Salt Lake City after being there since last spring'. She will visit with her mother and father here before be-fore returning to the city. Arnold Anderson of Clear Creek and Miss Geniel Basmus-sen Basmus-sen of 'Mount Pleasant were married Wednesday at Manti :md upon their return to Mount Pleasant a shower and surprise sur-prise party was given the newly new-ly weds by their relatives at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Basmussen. J. M. Boyden and family departed de-parted Tuesday for Berkley, California" where Mr. Boyden will study school music and instruction work. While in California Mr. Boyden will visit vis-it his old home town and relatives. rela-tives. Mrs. Georgia B. John-, son went with them and will study elocution at the University Univer-sity of California. Uther Jones, publisher of the Idaho Enterprise, and his w ife were Mount Pleasant visitors this week. They were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Larsen. While here Mr. and Mrs. Larsen took them for an outing in the canyon east of town. They were well pleased with their visit lis tins city. Some Members of Wasatch faculty have taken their summer sum-mer vacation and gone to their homes at different'places. Miss McCormick has gone to Berkley, Berk-ley, California. Miss Bick-ford Bick-ford has gone to Los Angeles. Miss Bidwell has gone to her home in Michagan. Miss Moery to her home in Franklin Ohio. Miss Sawyer is at her home in Minnisota. Miss Hull is at home in Illinois. This week a great many of the professional angelers went to the mountain streams and helped themselves to the little spotted beauties. A number of parties have already returned return-ed with fish stories, real stories md many fish to back up their statements. Harrv Ericksen. Dr. Mills, J. C. Barton and.T. C. Jacks brought back a fine lot of stringers. A Mr. Brewer is reported to have had a two-bushel two-bushel bag full. The stories told have excited Capt. Braby so much that he might be seen stealing away on a trip to the mountains most any moment. We haven't learned just where and when he is going, but he is on his way. There were others who took to the streams and among them were Glen Winters Bennet Monk, James Johan-in and others. |
