Show NEW TYPE TRACTOR BEING EXHIBITED BY F. D. PETERSON A new general-purpose tractor designed primarily for small farms is now being shown at Central Utah Implement and Hardware " 'i - - Auif fer uvm Company, Mt. Pleasant, according to F. D. Peterson, manager. A display of the new tractor appears ap-pears elsewhere on this page. The tractor being shown here is one of the first to come off the assembly line of the new ten-million dollar John Deere tractor factory fac-tory recently completed at Dubuque, Dubu-que, Iowa. "This is the new trac-' tor John Deere engineers have been developing and testing all through the war years," Mr. Peterson Pet-erson said. The display advertisement forS the new tractor announces the name "Quik-Tatch" to emphasize the ease and speed of attaching integral tools such as plow, cultivator, culti-vator, bedder, planter, etc., and "Touch - o - matic" to describe the new precision hydraulic lift for raising and lowering the tools and regulating working , depth. While this tractor is sure to interest in-terest farmers with smaller acre ages who are now using animal power, it also meets the needs on larger farms as auxiliary power to help out at cultivating and haying time, and to do many of the lighter jobs for which a team has been kept. Mr. Peterson invites anyone interested to drop in and inspect this latest addition to the full line of John Deere two-cylinder tractors. |
