Show Fairview Wider Streets Planned For Business District Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Thursday for Mrs. Hannah Han-nah Christine Peterson Tucker in the South ward chapel. Tucker, Mrs. Wilford Rasmussen, Mrs. Al Singleton and Ray of Provo; Ed Peterson, Manti; Mr. and Mrs. Grant Evans, Spanish Fork. Mr. and Mrs Byron Tucker, Ephraim. Special Memorial Services were held Sunday evening in the North ward chapel for the honoring of Fairview's war dead. Monday evening the Seventh grade topped off their day at school by a pie party and dance in the gymnasium. The advisor for the class is Edwin Miner. The Elders of the North and South wards held a special meeting Monday evening. Refreshments Re-freshments were served. The Junior Girls of the Fair-view Fair-view South ward, under the direction di-rection of Mrs Donna S. Vance held their "Rose Evening" program pro-gram Tuesday. The mother of each girl was a special guest and a lovely program including the traditional tradi-tional candlelight march was carried out very effectively. Mrs Vance presented the rose bouquet bou-quet to Mrs. Ted Lasson, the ward YWMIA president. Dainty refreshments were served. Last Tuesday in the North and South ward Primarys each person per-son attending brought with them one can of food stuff which will be sent as a gift to the Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake city. The drive was very successful. Both wards received re-ceived approximately GO cans of assorted fruits, vegetables, and meats. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Denton of Calif, are visiting with Mr. Hy-rum Hy-rum Vance. A visitor of Mr. Vance on Sunday was Richard Coombs of Layton. Mrs. Lucille Madsen held Primary Pri-mary study meeting last week. Teacher training lesson was given by Jane Brinton. There were ten officers and teachers present. Mrs Caroline Madsen was a special guest. Missionary Farewell party will be held Saturday evening in the South ward chapel for Mr. and Mrs. Elam Anderson. They will enter the Mission Home in Salt Take city on December 1, after which they will leave for a Northern California Mission. Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus Jensen and daughter Arlene were Provo visitors" vis-itors" Monday. Mrs. Mazie Wilson of Hatch is visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Allie L. Carlston. Making her appearance on Nov. fi at the home of Mr. and Mrs. DeReece Young, was li'tle Judy Lee Young. Mr. and Mrs. loung live in i " "" where Mr. Young is studying to be a pharmacist. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Floyd oung and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Jensen of Fairview. Saturday, Nov. 15 the Fair-view Fair-view Junior Chamber of Commerce Com-merce was awarded the . Hughes Brockbank travel trophy at a Jaycee party in American Fork. President Keith Hansen collected col-lected the trophy, for the Fair-view Fair-view club for having the largest larg-est attendance present of visiting visit-ing clubs. Eleven members and tneir wives attended. They will keep the trophy for one month when they will entertain enter-tain and another winner will be selected. The Fairview Junior Chamber of Commerce will hold a board meeting Monday evening, Nov. 21, for the purpose of selecting a 'new 2nd vice president and board member. President Keith Hansen, who is resigning to perform his duties as mayor, will be replaced by 1st vice president, Donald Cox. Mr. Cox will be replaced by 2nd vice presiflent, J. Edwin Miner. Resigning Re-signing board member is Cleston Mower who left recently for an L. D. S mission. A travel trophy party will also be planned. Mrs. Howard Rigby entertained enter-tained Thursday evening in honor hon-or of Mr. and Mrs. K. H. Madsen of Salt Lake city. A hot supper was served to IS guests followed by an evening of playing Rook. Present were Mr. and Mrs. II.
