Show Dates For Big Game Hearings The itinerary for the annual state-wide five-meeting hearing of the Utah Board of Big Game control has been set. The first meeting will be held at Parowan, July 11, at 2:00 P.M. with an 8:00 P.M. meeting on tap at Panguitch that same night. July 12 will find the five-man board at Price, at 2:00 P.M. and at Provo at 8:00 P.M. Next day the Board will move to Brigham for an afternoon hearing and then recess for a few days before the final executive session. Travelling 1500 miles and attending at-tending five public hearings in three days is quite a chore for the Board, according to R. L. Turpin, Board Chairman and Utah Fish and Game Director. For this reason rea-son it was decided to set the final meeting of the Board at a later date. "This will also give the Board a better chance to study the findings find-ings and will freshen the members mem-bers for the lone job of setting up the rules and regulations for- the fall hunt," Turpin said. All organizations who are interested inter-ested in the deer and elk hunts of this state are urged to have their information ready and accurate ac-curate at the time the Board meets. Spring counts, fall hunting data and winter losses will be brought before the Board and local units involved should consolidate con-solidate their findings wherever possible so as to be prepared for presentation at the hearings. |
