Show Chicken of Tomorrow Is Goal of Sanpete Youngsters In Contest Eight Sanpete County youngsters young-sters will be among the 70 breeders breed-ers of poultry who will enter pens of pedigreed chickens in the state's 1949-1950 Chicken-of -Tomorrow contest, State Chairman W. I. Jenkins, extension poul-tryman, poul-tryman, announced. Time and place of the Sanpete judging, slated for the week of July 10, will be announced later by Russell R. Keetch, County agent and contest chairman. State finals of the nation-wide competition, which offers $10,000 in prizes posted by A & P Food Stores, sponsors of the program to develop better, more economical economi-cal meat-type birds, will be held in Salt Lake City, July 21. There the county champions will compete com-pete for the state title, and the Senior Division also will be judged, jud-ged, Mr. Keetch said. Sanpete contestants will be Mc Kay Anderson, Franklin Erick-son, Erick-son, Dunnell Sorensen and Ferrel Winn of Gunnison; Buster Bard-sky Bard-sky and Leon Beck of Centerville. Ralph Coats of Freedom and Tommy Allan of Mt. Pleasant. Anderson Is 4 H Clubber and the rest are Future Farmers.
