Show Fountain Green Former Resident Dies In Crash ' Boyd Jackson, twin son of Mr. and Mrs. William D. Jac son, died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning at a Spanish Fork hospital hos-pital following an automobile accident about IV'2 miles east of Thistle, Friday evening. Boyd was born June 3, 1934 in Fountain Green, son of Mr. and Mrs. William D. Jackson, former residents of Fountain Green. Besides his parents he is survived sur-vived by his twin brother, Lloyd, and another brother , Maurice Jackson, now serving an LDS mission in the Southern States; a grandmother, Mrs. Annie M. L.D.S. Girls At Yellowstone Forty L.D.S. Girls of the Correlation Cor-relation Groups will enjoy an outing at Yellowstone Park. They will leave July 11 and will be accompanied by the Ward Bishopric and their Correlation Guides. They expect to be gone for a week. The Fourth went over with a bang. Independence Day was fit tingly observed with the following follow-ing program carried out. A flag raising ceremony and Band concert at sunrise. Under the direction of Mrs. Pharis Neilson. A Minature parade took place on Main Street beginning be-ginning at 3.P.M. Every child in town took part and enjoyed being part of the days celebration. Sports of all sorts was Meld at the beautiful City Park at 5 P.M. Dancing for the children child-ren was held at G:30 P.M. in the Amusement Hall. Attend Graduation Exercises In Salt Lake City Mr. and Mrs. James L. Nielson attended the Nurses graduation exercises in the Cathedral of the Madeleine, June 28 where their granddaughter, Miss Clara C. Seager, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Seager of Salt Lake city,x received her degree in nursing. Miss Seager received her training train-ing at the Holy Cross hospital. Miss Camllle Rasmussen has visited during the past week in Salt Lake city. She was the guest of her sisters, Mrs. Ruby Mangelson and Mrs. Joyce Haf-en. Haf-en. Mr. and Mrs. Gayle Rasmussen' spent their vacation in Yellowstone Yellow-stone National Park recently Mrs. Verda A. Lund, Harvey Lund and Delores Lund were Provo business visitors Friday. w Mr. and Mrs. Dean Powell and children of Richmond, Washington, Wash-ington, are visiting Mrs. Powell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Hansen. Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Ivory announce an-nounce the arrival of a new grandadughter, born June 30. The parents are Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ivory (Jean Crowther) at Vernal. The grandparents and a sister, Mrs. Dora Frandsen, are visiting for a few clays at the Ivory home. Phyllis Anderson, Shirley and Neil Draper attended the July 4th celebration in Salt Lake city. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Guymon of Vernal are visiting here with a sister, Mrs. Clair Ivory. Club Notes Mrs. Virginia Nielson won high score prize at the Rook party given Thursday evening by Mrs. Rachel Syme and Mrs. Dean Tidwell received the consolation con-solation prize. Dainty refreshments refresh-ments were served by the hostess after the game. Mr. and Mrs. R. Glade Anderson Ander-son of Salt Lake city are visiting for a few days with his mother, Mrs. Ethel Anderson. Mrs. Geneva Madsen is receiving re-ceiving medical care at a Salt Lake hospital. She is much improved im-proved and will return to her home soon. Visiting at the home of Clif ford Crowther on Sunday were Elden Hansen of Midvale, Venice Ven-ice Hansen and Bruce Johnson of Salt Lake city. |
