Show Jubilee DatesAre July 22, 23 And 24 j rnree-aay observance of Mt. Pleasant Jubilee Days was in the making this week as J. S. Jensen, chairman of the city recreation committee, announced an-nounced preliminary plans for a program to b presented Friday" evening, July 22, all day Saturday, Satur-day, July 23 and in the churches, Sunday, July 24. Official opening of the celebration cele-bration will be the performance of a variety program on the green of the North Sanpete high school campus, Friday, July 22 at 8 p.m. This is to feature a professional troop of dancers, acrobats and singers from Salt Lake city to be supplemented by-local by-local talent. The Friday evening show is under the direction of Mrs. Florence Bagnall and Mrs. Ruth Jones. . Saturday, July 23's schedule includes sports for the children at 10 a.m., ' water circus with bathing beauty contest at 1 p.m., baseball game at 3 p.m., parade at 6 p.m., and Drum and Bugle Corps demonstration by the Magna Mag-na American Legion Corps -after the parade. The Magna outfit is one of the most famous in the country, Mr. Jensen said, and has won top awards at national American Legion contests. Saturday's events will conclude con-clude with a dance at the Queen City. Sunday all churches are expected ex-pected to hold special services in honor of ' the official Pioneer Day, July 24. |
