Show Mcroni Popular Woman Honored By Grateful Friends Mrs. Ida Dice sold her Moroni home and business last week to Dr. Dean Rigby of Mt. Pleasant. Pleas-ant. She will be leaving Moroni Mo-roni in the near future. Members of the Sr. Sorosir Club and their husbands gave : farewell party in her honor at her home on Monday evening. A delicious hot dinner wat served after which, rook war. played. The first prizes were received by Mrs. Fayora Draper and Roy Storey, and the con solation prize was won by Rue Syme. "a beautiful going away gi; was then presented to Mrs. Dice at which time a "Love and Friendship Tribute" (composed by Northa Prestwich and Leona Irons) was read and then signei by all present. The evening was concluded with singing of old time songs. Mrs. Dice has been an active member of this club for the past 27 years. Her thousands of loyal friends in Sanpete Valley and elsewhere sincerely regret the departure of Mrs. Dice from Moroni for she has rendered such willing, dependable and efficient service to all her patients at the Dice Hospital for many years, together with her mnsr ranahle husband. Dr. II. E. Dice, who passed away on Aug ust 27, 1941. They came to Moroni in 1920 where they purchased the home and hospi tal of Dr. B. C. Linebaugh, and Mrs. Dice has carried on the hospital since the death of hoi husband. ... As a great compliment to Miss LaRona Irons, soprano, with th; KSVC radio station, a Richfield furniture company recently offered of-fered her a 15-minute program to be given over the same station sta-tion on November 6th. She accepted ac-cepted it and sang three numbers num-bers last Saturday. She was accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Joyce Neil-son. Neil-son. ... Mr. and Mrs. DeLoy Thompson of Salt Lake City visited with Mrs. Ida Dice last weekend. ... Mr. and Mrs. Leo Morley announce an-nounce the marriage of their son Glade, to Miss Fern Jensen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Loren Jensen of Fountain Green on November 4th. The ceremony was performed at the home of the bridegroom's bride-groom's parents, after which a reception and dance was held in the Municipal Hall in Fountain Green. A large number num-ber of Moroni relatives and friends were in attendance. . John L. Olson met with an accident Saturday evening. While walking home from the field and near the Moroni Processing Pro-cessing plant, a passing motorist mo-torist who did not see him, ran into him. He was unconscious for some time, but has been released re-leased from a Moroni hospital and is now at his home. He is suffering from a gash on his forehead and severe shock and bruises. ... Mr. and Mrs. John Guymon and family visited with relatives rela-tives in Salt Lake City las; Sunday. ... Mrs. Artena Christensen fell from a ladder last week and received re-ceived a sprained wrist. ... Mr. and Mrs. Don Christensen are the proud parents of a baby boy born November 2nd at a Mt. Pleasant hospital. ... Mrs. Mary Draper returned home Sunday after spending the past month with relatives in Salt Lake City, Tooele, and cities of Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. Reese Bradley and daughter Roxie visited last Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Ther-on Ther-on Madsen of Spring City, where they accompanied them to church and Mr. Bradley blessed and named their baby granddaughter. |
