Show ' SPRING CITY ; 1 By Special Correspondence j The Daughters cf tire Utah Pion-eeis Pion-eeis met ut the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marinus Mortensen Tuesday of this week to honor their bhthdlays which took place in July. Mrs. Mortensen was seventy-nine and Mr. Mortensen readied the ripe age of 80 years. A program was given and luncheon was served and enjoyed by thirty-iive member... llrs. M. M. Bigelow and iamily of Panguitch and Mrs. Dair?ll Worthen andl family, also o Panguitch, Pan-guitch, have spent the past week here visiting their mother, Mis. Mary K. Allred. Mrs. John H. Coleman and da ugh ter Mary accompanied Sam Kabebe to Salt Lake City Tuesday. Mrs. Easton Kelsey is spending this week with relatives in the Capitol city. Mrs. Glen Allred, motored here from Piice Sunday to visit relatives. She was accompanied by 2d F. Allred who has been visiting in I-iice for the past two months. Gregscn Schofield and family motored to' Idaho thg first part of this week. They will visit relatives in Rupert, (Idaho, and' Garland, Utah, before returning home. The children of Allan Beck and the children of Claren Scho.'ield underwent tonsil cperations on Thursday. Dr. S. B. Rigby was the doctor. Mrs. Sarah Clausen is sariously ill at her heme here. Her children Mrs. Ray Johnsen of Salt Lake City and Clinton Clausen of Castle Dale were called to her bedside. Mrs. Clausen is past eighty-three years of age. Andrew Bohleen, Voni Justesen and Bud Jones enjoyed several d!avs fishing in the streams of Joe's Valley. On Monday Mrs. Lynn Barney entertained1 at dinner fcr a number of relatives in honor of the sixty-seventh sixty-seventh birthday anniversary of Mrs. Minnia D. Barney. Mrs. Olga Black entertained the Althea Club members at her home Thursday afternoon. A dslightful luncheon was served and a splendid splen-did time enjoyed. Mrs. Sarah Ann Beck has returned return-ed home from a visit with her son, Bishop Reed Beck and family at Draper and Bishop Nephi Probst and family of Midway. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Black visited Wednesday at the horns cf Mr. and Mrs. Nicolay C. Lund at Nephi. Jerrel Carlsen and family of Eureka were Sunday visitors of their mother, Mrs. Mina Carlsoni A number of Spring City people attended the homecoming at Wales last week. Mrs. Grac? Allred. has gone to Salt Lake City where her son Sheldon underwent a throat operation opera-tion last week. Mrs. Marie Hansen! enjoyed, a week's visit at the home of her son Hir.ry and family at Murray. She rjtumed to her home here last week. |
