Show The Commentator Well, here we are again with the National Guard at Camp W. G. Williams, and well that we should be in order that we be prepared pre-pared to defend ourselves in case some covetous ruler decides he needs a larger back yard for his people to play in. It is easy to function when every condition is favorable, but it takes training, experience, and initiative to perform satisfactorily when the temperature is below freezing, when the wind is howling, howl-ing, when it is pitch dark, and when perhaps there is a layer of snow on the ground. Though we may endure dis-. comforts and suffer hard ships, we are justified for we are in the service of our country. Fat Lady: "can I get through this gate to camp W. G. Williams?" Will-iams?" Rooky on Guard: "I think so, madam, two howitzer guns just pulled through." HONORABLE PATCHES |
