Show Wasatch Students Attend Journalists Meet at B. Y. U. Eleven students and three publications pub-lications advisers from Wasatch Academy were among some 500 delegates attending the Seventh annual conference of Intermoun-tain Intermoun-tain School Journalists at Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University, in Provo Saturday. The students were Anne Mur-dock, Mur-dock, Seler Kallenberger, Arthur J. McHugh, Bert Meyers, Louise Ramsey, Ella Ballinger, Delbert Hasemyer, Henry Dovey, Don I Meyers, Marjorie Arnold and Jane Anderson. Also attending were George Smithpeter, Margery Marg-ery E. Frink, and Jane Barber as faculty advisers of these students. Featured in the conference were talks by leading newspapermen news-papermen and journalists of the state, department sessions on school newspapers and year books, and panel discussions. On display at the conference were ample yearbooks, school papers and publications from high schools and Junior Colleges throughout the intermountain region. re-gion. Ihree scholarships to Brigham Young -University were given to winners in a reporting contest. Two press conferences, one in "Our Pan-American Relations" for girls and one on "American Neutrality" for boys formed the oasis for this contest. |
