Utah 4-H Girl Wins Award For Home Beautification Laraine Jones, 17, of Provo, recipient re-cipient of a state blue award in the national 4-H home grounds beautification activity conducted the past year by the extension service, wins a place in the national na-tional red group and a cash award. Members from 23 states competed compet-ed in the activity of which Mrs. Charles R. Walgreen, Chicago garden club enthusiast, is patron. Miss Jones just made a survey of the home grounds and aided by the family removed old stumps, dying trees, trash and accumulations for a general cleanup. Utilizing wild shrubs available in nearby woods, she Transplanted ' current bushes, choke cherry trees, and climbing climb-ing vines. Neighbors contributed bridal wreath, yellow bell, hedge, and lilacs. In the summer she added 30 shrubs of various types, and declares the work has meant more than pencil and paper can tell.
