Show A Lady Unduly Alarmed Mrs. Williami A. Becker, president-general of the Daughters of the American Revolution, reports that the naticn is awakening to the need "for better protection from the insidious enemy within our gates." She finds "sappers" constantly at. work, "seeking to poiscn the minds of our citizens," and preaching radical doctrines and whispering subversive propaganda. propa-ganda. She shudders lest they would destroy our constitutional form of government. The lady is unduly alarmed. American principles cf constitutional constitu-tional goverrment will be amply protected if and when necessary by the American people. When cherished ideals are confronted by real peril, the citizens of this country coun-try will take a nana in their adequate ade-quate defense. They will depend upon warnings and alarms from after-dinner speakers, whatever organization or-ganization they may happen to direct. |
