Show Opportunity Offered Young-Men Young-Men In U. S. Army Bands Opportunity is offered young men ot the Intermounlain Area, to further fur-ther their musical education by enlistment en-listment in Infantry and Coast Artillery Ar-tillery Corps Bands stationed in Hawaii, it was announced today by First Lieutenant Thomas Mifflin, 38th Infantry, Acting District Recruiting Re-cruiting Officer, U. S. Army, 223 Ness Building. Amog .the instruments needed to fill vacancies in Bands in Hawaii are: cornet, french horn, bass drum (bass or snare), flute and piccolo, pic-colo, baritone, Bb flat bass, tromi-bcne, tromi-bcne, and two drummers; one for orchestra, and one to double on piano. Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years, single, with out dependents, of good character; and be qualified to pass a musical examination on the instrument of their selection. The musical examination will be conducted by the Band Leader, 33th Infantry Band. Fort Douglas, Utah. Arrangements for interested interest-ed men to take the examination will be made by the Recruiting Station Sta-tion nearest the applicant's home. These are: 419 Federal Building, Boise, 17 Federal Building, Poca-tello, Poca-tello, 210 Federal Building, Idaho Fails, and City Hall, Twin Falls, Idai:o; and 202 Federal Building, den, The Armory, Provo, Court Ilvise, Price, and 223 Ness Building, Build-ing, Salt Lake City, Utah. |
