Show SPRING CITY ! By Special Correspondence Pratt Osborne, Angus Black and Frank Watson of this city attended furoral services Sunday fcr Mrs. Sylvester Pierce at Gunnison. Mr. and Mrs. J. Morgan Johnson -t Long Beach, California, are visiting vis-iting relatives in Spring City. They c:.ne tc attend funeral services for Mrs. Johnson's mother, Mrs. Maria J. Madsen. He'cer Allred of Uintah is here visiting his aged mother, Mrs. Stina Allred. Mrs. Cla'a Allred is seriously ill a', her heme here. Her children iivirg cut cf toxn where summoned :c her bedside on Monday. Mrs. Edna Brough cf Trer-onion .s visiting here. Six and a half inches cf snow fell here between Tuesday and Wed-r.esday Wed-r.esday nights. Funeral se.vices were held Saturday Sat-urday at one o'clock in the Spring City ward chapel fcr Mrs. Annie Petersen Daunnrd, 76, who died on Wednesday at 'he home cf her daughter Mrs. James J. Jensen at Manti. The services was conducted con-ducted ty Reed H. All; ed of the Bishopric. The ward choir under the direction cf E. B. Terry sang "Though Deepening Trials", "Beautiful "Beau-tiful Home" ani 'T Need Thee Every Ev-ery Hour." A vocal duet, "Jesus, Lover of My Soul" was sung by Mrs. Jessie Schcfield and E. B. Te'ry; a number was given by the Manti male quartet, accompanied at the piano by Miss Maida Jensen. Prayers were offered by H. E. Harrison Har-rison and John Peterson. The speakers were John S. Blain and James W. Blain and Therald Jensen Jen-sen of Manti. Pallbearers were her grandsons. Burial was in the family fam-ily plot in the city cemetery, under un-der direction cf Ursenbach Mortu ary. Many out of town people attended at-tended the services. Mrs. Doun-ard Doun-ard lived in Spring City from- early childhood. Besides rearing her own children she also raised three grandchildren. Mrs. Dounard was i loving mother, good neighbor and true friend. A number of the older people of Spring City are very ill at this time. Mr. and Mrs. Warner Christen-sen Christen-sen visited in Nephi on Thursday wi'h Mr. and Mrs. N. C. Lund. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Billington of Rupert, Idaho, visited relatives in Spring City last week. |
