The Sorosis club met Thursday afternoon of last week at the home of Mrs. Lewis Blackham. The following fol-lowing program was given: Song, Carrel Robertson; reading, Gloria Larson; solo, Mrs. Elden Westen-scow; Westen-scow; saxophone solo, Collin Rhodes. Refreshments were served to 14 members. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Storey announce an-nounce the birth of a baby boy. Mrs. John I. Morley spent a parr of last week in Provo visiting relatives. rela-tives. The Daughters of the Pioneers held their monthly meeting Friday afternoon. Captain Mrs. Alligee Anderson An-derson was in charge. The opening song was "Come, Come Ye Saints." Prayer was by the chaplain, Mrs. Irene Bradley. Mr 5. Melyina Blackham gave the following program: Song, "When Mother Played the Organ," Carrol Robertson; reading. Rosella Draper; solo, "Just a Little Lit-tle Street," Mrs. Erma Larson. A biographical bi-ographical sketch of the lives of Parley Draper Sr. and Margaret Draper was given by Miss Eddis Blackham. Song, Rachel Blackham and Gens Morley; reading and dance, Glori", Larson; solo, Mrs. Hannah Draper; reading, Wayne Draper. Mrs. Artimesia Anderson has made a map of Moroni when it was first settled and also a picture ot the old Bastian and Fort. They were presented to the Daughters of the Relic room. Closing prayer was by Chaplain Bradley. Mrs. Ben Cloward visited in A- fnerican Fork last- week. Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Nuttal of Salt Lake were guests last week of Mr. and Mrs. James Prestwich. The Primary officers of the East ward surprised Mrs. Andrew Bradley Brad-ley Tuesday night. She had been President of the organization for ten years that day. The evening was spent playing games. Refreshments were served. Jack, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cleon Anderson, entertained a group of hi- friends at a Valentine party Tuesday night. The serving tabl'j was gay with hearts and lighted red cardies. Refreshments served werj in Valentine colors. Mrs. Clecn Andersen entertained Friday at dinner for Mrs. H. C. Jacobs Ja-cobs of Mt. Pleasant and Mrs. Dorothy Dor-othy J. Buchanan of Mt. Pleasant. |
