Show ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NEWS An executive meeting of the Grovecrest PTA was held at the school Monday at 1 p.m. Mrs. Toby Hiraboyashe, president of the organization, or-ganization, was in charge of the discussion .which was relative to the meetings scheduled for the year. ESN More than 500 patrons and friends attended the dedication services for the Grovecrest School last Friday night. School officials, teaching personnel and parents were enthusiastic over the fine attendance and the excellence of the program presented. The students of Ford Paulson's room received an electric clock for having the largest percentage of parents present. Mrs. Patsy Grover's students scored second place. Principal Donna Ash and her teachers express sincere appreciation apprecia-tion to all who assisted in making the Grovecrest dedication such a marked success. ESN On Friday November 18, the special music students of Central and Grovecrest Schools will travel by bus to American Fork to hear the Utah Symphony Orchestra. The concert is slated for the Alpine Al-pine Stake Tabernacle at 9:30 a.m. ESN- A special film on Consservation will be shown to the students of the Grovecrest and Central schools Friday November 18. The schedule calls for two showings at each school in order to accomodate all the students. The film and the explanatory talk is under the auspices aus-pices of the U. S. Department of Forestry. ESN Stimulated by a recent case of polio in the Central School Sixth Grade, polio shots were administered admin-istered to Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grade students Wednesday. Wednes-day. Practically all the parents of these children signed requests for the shots, Principal Calvin Walker Walk-er said. ESN Members of the faculty and non-teaching non-teaching personnel will enjoy a party at the Central School Fri- day night. ESN Through the courtesy of Manager Man-ager Keith Miller, students of the Central School will enjoy a Thanksgiving Thank-sgiving picture show at the Grove Theatre next Tuesday morning. This is the first of a series of four shews scehduled for the year. |
