Show Review Issue of Oct. 20 Selected As 'Front Page of the Month' Page one of the Review issue of Thursday, Oct. 20, has been selected selec-ted as "Front Page of the Month" by the journalism students of the Brigham Young University. The recognition came to the Review as top award in competition with all other weekly newspapers in Utah. The announcement of the student's stu-dent's choice for Oct. was made by an excellent reproduction of the Oct. 20 front page of the Review in the November issue of the "Utah Publisher and Printer." The UP&P is the official magazine of the Utah State Press Association. Headlines in the award-winning front page included the following: Stake Quarterly Conference Next Saturday, Sunday; Three Named Candidates for Peoples Party; Vikings Vik-ings to Play Crucial Game Today at A.F. ; Ccnsul Jacobs Arrives Here After Service in Europe; Utah's Dairy Darling Visits in Pleasant Grove; Robbery Attempts Cleared Up With Youth's Capture and Lindon Citizens Party to Nominate. Nom-inate. Cuts published on the winning page were one of the Dairy Darlings Darl-ings and Pleasant Grove notables, and the other of Governor J. Bracken Brac-ken Lee recommending Locker Time for Turkeys. |
