Show Grovecrest School Dedication Will Be Held Friday ? 7 '30 Pleasant 'Grove's newest elementary ele-mentary school, the Grovecrest, will be dedicated Friday, November Novem-ber 11, at 7:30 p.m. A special ad-di'ess ad-di'ess will be given by Merrill N. Warnick, President of Timpangoos Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and President of the American Dairy Association. The dedicatory . -marks and prayer will be cffei d by Niels Fugal, a member of ! he Beard of Education of Alpme School District. Donna O. Ash, Principal of 1 tie school, will conduct the program which will begin with the posting of the colors by the American Legion. Mayor Edward Roberts will offer the invocation. Remarks will be made by Alma P. Burton, Superintendente of the Alpine School District. A special chorus of parents and teachers will furnish musical numbers. num-bers. This group is directed by Ford Paulson and will be accompanied accom-panied by Gwen Adams and Mary Deane Behling. LaRee Sanders, a teacher at the school, will sing "Bless This House". The benedicticn will be given by C. R. Clark, former membor of Board of Education. Special guests of the evening will include: Superintendent Alma P. Burton, Members of the Board of Education, Architect, William Rowe Smith, Contractor, Clifton Tolboe, Mayor Edward Roberts, P. T. A. Presidente, Mrs. J: mes Hir-ayabashi, Hir-ayabashi, the faculty and personnel person-nel of the school. Construction on the building began be-gan in March of 1954. The building-was building-was officially used as Grovecrest School in September of this year. Total cost of the building was $320,000.00. Following the dedicatory services ser-vices the PTA will sponsor Open House. Each child has prepared some form of recognition for his parents which they may obtain by going to the class rooms. A special in-vitiation in-vitiation is extended to the patrons of the school and the citizens "of the community. |
