Show Seminary Starts Year Off With Party Sept. 18 by Janeil Fugal The Pleasant Grove Seminary began the new school year with a par ty at the ball park after school on Wednesday, September 18. After Af-ter games, relays, a pulling match and dancing, weiners and watermelons water-melons were served. Students and the new teachers were on the program. pro-gram. The Seminary has three new teachers this year, each teaches three classes. There is Bud Draper, Drap-er, who has taught a year at Mil-ford Mil-ford and who is working for his masters at the BYU. Ray Louder, a member of the Orem .Stake High Council, and a former graduate of the Pleasant Grove High School and Seminary is teaching. Also, there is Bishop John Jones from the Pleasant View Ward who has taught Seminary for many years and who has been in charge of housing at the BYU. The new studentbody officers for this year are Lloyd Ash, president: Pauline Ash, vice president: Gayle Mart, secretar-y; Donald Holdaway, historian; and Jancil Fugal, repor-- repor-- ter. The officers and students in the Seminary are looking forward to an interesting and successful year |
