Show New Vocational Training Law in Force American veterans, disabled In military service anywhere in the world after the fighting in Korea, are now eligible under a new law for vocational training on the same basis as World War II veterans. Those entitled in the past were mainly veterans injured or disabled dis-abled while serving in the United States or in other non-combat zones. Previously, the rehabilitation rehabilita-tion training had been limited to Korean veterans who needed it and whose service-connected disabilities dis-abilities had resulted from armed conflict or extra-hazardous service outside of combat. A campaign to recruit 72.000 officers offi-cers and enlisted personnel for the women's services of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force was launched recently. The drive is intended to increase to 112,000 the number of women in the Armed Forces by June of 1952. |
