Show 4-H Girls Give Demonstration At Kearns School Karolyn Swenson and Julia Ann Warnick, accompanied by their mothers, Mrs. K. Warnick Swenson Swen-son and Mrs. Merrill N. Warnick, on Tuesday, drove to Keams where at the Kearns elementary school, they gave a demonstration to the third and to the sixth grade students, stu-dents, in catching and mounting butterfies, and created much interest inter-est among the boys and girls there in this particular phase of study. Great interest was also shown by Principal Thorum, who is also teacher of the sixth grade. Miss Leah Eldredge is teacher of the third grade. The two young demonstrators, who are members of the Manila 4-H Entomology club, have created much interest in the study of insect in-sect life. The Manila Ward Entemology club are arranging a program to be given over station KOVO, Provo, soon. The Manila Club is the first entomology club in Utah, and at the KOVO program will discuss their project, and their exhibit to be entered at the Utah State Fair. |
