Show DUP To Hold Openhouse At Community Fair The Daughters of Utah Pioneers wlil hold open house, at the Relic Museum and Log Cabin on the afternoon of September 18, from 2 to 6 p.m. Many people have expressed a desire to visit the interesting places, pla-ces, and the D.U.P. -warmly invite everyone to call on that day. Hostesses Host-esses will be on hand to explain and show the various pioneer relics. Both houses have been renovated and put in order and a visit to both of these places will be an inspiration in-spiration to the younger geenrat-ion, geenrat-ion, who have not seen the pioneer relics housed there. School children are invited after 3 p.m. From 2 until 3 o'clock there will be a program in the relic hall honoring the few remaining re-maining native poineers, among whom are Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel West, Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Hool-ey, Hool-ey, Rose B. Hayes, and Thomas Gleason. The last original pioneers have passed on. Comittees in charge are Sadie Beck one of the captains, and Mrs. Edna Newman, a vice captain; program; and Gladys Hilton, honoring hon-oring of pioneers; Cora Atwood of Manila Camp, refreshments. Preparing both buildings, Lucille Lu-cille Walker, chairman and Minnie Hall, Violet Warburtpn, Elvira Olpin, Pearl West and Mary Monson. Mon-son. The work of painting and renovating renov-ating was done in connection -with Pleasant Grove City. The D. U. P. extends appreciation appreciat-ion to all who helped by supporting projects or other contributions, and for the volunteer help they received. |
