Show Jaycee Gems Fashion Parade Proves Very Succesful Affair The little red school house furnished fur-nished the background setting for the Jayce Gems Back-To-School Fashion Parade on Friday evening. Each model stepped from the doorway of the school on to steps covered with grass and surrounded with flowers. Background music for the program pro-gram was furnished by a string trio consisting of Ramona Jacobs, Jennie Gleason and Winona Kirk. Several musical numbers were presented between the groups modeling. Warren Kirk sang "Beautiful "Bea-utiful Lady", and Patsy Cheever and Janice Barnettt offered two Hawaiian Hula dances. Mrs. Ethel Cances was mistress of ceremonies for the home sewing contest and Mrs. Ellen Prestwich spoke for Christensen's Store models. Daintily wrapped bottles of perfume per-fume were given to each of the ladies as favors. After the completion of the program, pro-gram, refreshments were served under the supervision of Mrs. Holly Maxfield. Mrs. Maxfield took charge of the refreshments committee com-mittee during the absence of Mrs. Sam Green. The door prizes were drawn for by Darlene Johnson and were contributed con-tributed by local merchants. Judging was based on most practical for school, originality, and general appearance. All of the judges were from out of town. Winners of each of the groups were as follows: Children's Group 1st place: Sewed by Mrs. Hazel Johnson, modeled by Darlene Johnson. John-son. 2nd place: Sewed by Mrs. Venice Ven-ice Jeppson; model, Irene Jeppson. 3rd place: Sewed by Mrs. Eldon Johnson; model Paulette Johnson. Junior Group 1st place: Helen Woolston. 2nd place: Norma Jean Warnick. 3rd place: Barbara West. Adult Group 1st place: Miss Mary Woolston. 2nd place: Mrs. Winifred Brown.
