Show JUST FOR K!DS Bones, the Story of a Misunderstood Misunder-stood Mongrel. (Last week Bones was being criticized by Mr. Reed while Johnny John-ny and Mrs. Reed were trying to calm down his temper.) After quite a heated argument about the guilt of Bones, the supposed sup-posed chicken killer, Mrs. Reed decided to put an end to it by saying: "Now look, George, why din't you finish your coffee and forget all about it?" Without a word, Mr. Rccd idrank down the remainder of his coffee ..and retired to the bathroom bath-room where soon the buzzing" of ft nelectric razor took the piace of bikering. In a very short time Johnny's father was singing lustily. lusti-ly. Meanwhile, at the Rowntree home a very worried David sat meditating on his bed. Numcr-our Numcr-our thoughts were running thru his mind; Did Johnny really think that Bones was the culprit? Maybe May-be Bones was the culprit, but then he should know Bones' character by now. Who did do it? Mrs. Rowntree came into the room from the kitchen. I "What's the matter, David?" she asked worriedly. "You hardly ate anything for breakfast. What is bothering you?" "Aw, nothing, mom," answered David heatedly, "Just that Bones might be shot, that's all." (Contiued next week.) |
