Show Local News Word was received by Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Homer, that their son Marion Homer was reporting on November 17th in the navy at Norfolk, Virginia. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Homer and two children have been living at Winston-Salem, North Carolina Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pond of Island Park, Idaho, and Mrs. Jay Pond and daughter Sandy were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ray S. Merrill on Tuesday. Mrs. Wm. Blackwell left Wednesday Wed-nesday for Tooele, where she is spending a few days with her daughter and son in law Mr. and Mrs. James Price and sons Jimmy Jim-my and Tommy. John Swenson, who is leaving here soon for military service was honored at a social following Mutual in Manila ward last Tuesday Tues-day evening. A program of games and refreshments were enjoyed, and the best wishes extended to John in his new life. On November 11, John Swenson, and his wife, the former Carol Stark, became the proud parents of a son, whom they introduced fos Stephen John. This was something some-thing to crow about as it was the first male child, born on Carol's side of the family in 30 years. Mr. and Mrs. Neils Fugal greet-ed greet-ed their family at a most enjoyable enjoy-able turkey dinner Thanksgiving Day.
