Show Am. Fork News Mrs. Edna Rc-id of Kamas spent the week-end in American Fork visiting with Mrs. Walter Durrant. Mrs. A. B. Allen has her mother visiting with her at the present. Her mother, Mrs. Louis Garrett, Is from LaCanada, California. Mr. and Mrs. Niles Binns and son, Allen, of Ogden visited Saturday Satur-day with Mrs. Nell Binns. Enjoying a visit with Mrs. George Bingham is her father, Mr. Moroni Gerber of Lehl. Mr- Gerber will remain here indefinitely. Sorosis club ladies will meet this afternoon at the home of Mrs. Thomas Friday. Monday evening fourteen members !of the Primary stake board met at the home of Mrs. Roxie Richards. The regular business of the board was taken up and a special talk, "The External Proofs of the Book of Mormon," was given by Mrs. Det-ta Det-ta Buckwalter. Refreshments were served at the conclusion of the meeting. Mrs. Ida Cahn was hostess to the Soiree club Wednesday night at her home. Her special guests were Mrs. Jean .Gordon of Murray and Mrs- Louise Hall. Eleven club members mem-bers were present. Alter an evening of bridge, prizes were awarded to Evelyn Madsen, Helen Bate and Selma Miller. Mrs. Alice Slater, secretary of the First ward Primary organization, had officers and teachers at her home Monday evening for their regular Book of Mormon meeting. Mrs. Bertha Sager gave the lesson, and led an interesting discussion among the fourteen ladies present. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Richan and daughter, Grace, Mr. and Mrs. Law-j Law-j rence Ashton and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Forbes of Alpine spent Monday in Lehi at the home of Mrs. Everett Richan who celebrated her birthday anniversary on that day. Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Parker and daughters, Grace and Helen, returned return-ed Tuesday night from a twelve-day visit to Los Angeles, where they went to see Frank. Parker who is stationed at Santa Ana. Frank, according ac-cording to his parents upon their return, is fine and looking exceptionally excep-tionally well- He says that he never felt better in his life. Frank has been in the service for about five months. |
