Show Fire Warden Issues A Proclamation By Chief Forest Fire Warden of The State of Utah. WHEREAS, it has become advisable advis-able to designate all the land within with-in the state of Utah into a fire district in order to more effectively protect the same from damage by fire, NOW THEREFORE, I, Paul M. Dunn, chief forest fire warden of the state of Utah, by virtue of the authority vested in me, and with the approval of the board of forestry for-estry and fire control, do hereby proclaim and declare that all the lands within the state of Utah shall be created into fire districts; excepting ex-cepting only lands lying within the boundaries of ' incorporated cities and towns. Each- county shall represent rep-resent a fire district and shall be under full force and effect of laws pertaining to such fire districts; and I further declare and proclaim that all of the above created fire districts are hereby declared closed beginning May 1, 1942, and ending October 31, 1942. That during said closed period as provided by the laws of the state of Utah it shall be unlawful to set fire or cans? t-T--si'-fVviire-T--inflammable materials on any forest for-est land, brush land, grass or range land, grain, stubble or hay land, or to set any fire for the purpose of clearing either his own property or the property of another within said fire districts without first securing se-curing a written permit from the chief fire warden or one of his deputies and complying fully with the terms and conditions thereof. Providing, however, it is to be construed con-strued that this will not prevent the burning of weeds on fenced, cultivated culti-vated lands or along fenced lines, canals or irrigation ditches or the building of controlled camp fires, provided due care and caution are used in the control thereof.
