Show AN ORDINANCE I AN ORDINANCE LEVYING SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT TAX TO COVER A PORTION OF THE COSTS OF SPEOLAL IMPROVEMENTS IMPROVE-MENTS IN STREET PAVING DISTRICT NO. 1, PLEASANT GROVE CITY, UTAH, AND PROVIDING PRO-VIDING FOR THE ASSESSMENT OF PROPERTY LNT SAID DISTRICT. DIS-TRICT. ' ...... BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PLEASANT GROVE CITY, UTAH: ' Section 1. For the purpose of raising revenue to pay- a portion of the costs and expenses of special street paving improvements in Street Paving District No. 1 in Pleasant! Grdve, Utah, the City Council does hereby levy a special improvement . tax, and. does hereby provide for the assessment thereof against the real property in said district hereinafter described. Section 2. This special tax is levied upon all real property bounding bound-ing or abutting on the streets which have been paved, and which are hereinafter described, which property prop-erty is to be especially affected and benefited by said improvements and it is hereby adjudged and determined determ-ined that all such property has been benefited toy said; imjprove.-ments imjprove.-ments to the full amount of the taxes hereby levied, and said lots and tracts of land are hereby assessed in accordance with the linear foot frontage abutting on said streets to the full depth of said lots and tracts of land. Section 3. The total cost of the above mentioned special improvements improve-ments which have now been completed, com-pleted, is the sum of $6390.00 and the abutter's portion of the costs and expenses thereof is the sum of $4126.60, and the City Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess said abutting real property in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance and for the purpose above mentioned. Section 4. The special tax hereby levied and assessed upon abutting lots and tracts of land is 10c per front or linear foot on all property in front of which said paving and improvements have been constructed, construct-ed, provided however, that corner lots shall be exempted as hereinafter herein-after provided. In making up the assessment each corner lot or corner corn-er tract of land shall be allowed a reduction of 25 feet frontage wherever wher-ever the streets running along both sides of said corner lots have each teen, paved and- improved along the full frontage of both sides of said corner lots. ; Section 5. Said special tax assessments assess-ments shall be due and payable at the office of the City Treasurer in Pleasant Grove, Utah, on or before the 1st day of February, 1941, and any such assessments, or- any part thereof, which are not paid on said date will be " delinquent and will draw interest at the rate of 8 per annum from February 1, 1941 until paid, and the lots and tracts of land upon which said special tax is levied will be subject to special tax sale as provided by law. Section 6. The real property on which this special tax is levied is described as follows: All property abutting on each side of the streets which have been paved and improved im-proved and which said streets are as follows, to-wit: Third South street from State Highway No. 91 to Locust Avenue, First South street from State Highway High-way No. 91 to Second East street; Main Street from Third West street to First East street; First North street from Third West street to First East street; Fourth North street from Fourth West street to Second West street; Fifth North street from Second West street to First East street; Fourth West I street from First South street to Fourth North street; First West street from First South street to Second North street; Center street from First South street to Second North street and First East street from First South street to Fifth North street, all in Pleasant Grove City, Utah. The property on which this special spe-cial tax is assessed is also further described as follows, to-wit: . All lots abutting along the north side of Blocks 2B, 1A, IB, 1C, 232, 4C, 18B, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 19, 20, 21, 22, 34, 33, 32B, 31B, 62, 64, 63 and 51. All lots abutting along the South side of Blocks 6C, 6D, 7B, 8B, 8C, 233, 4B, 18A, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 34, 33, 32B, 31B, 37, 32A, 30A, fiTR 6710. 6fl. 65. and trip east, half of 30. All lots abutting along the ' East side of Blocks 4B, 4A, 50, 20, 33, 37, 48, 29, 2B, 6D, 16, 21, 32B, 32A, 47, 22, 31B, 31A, 46, 54, and 63. All lots abutting along the West side of Blocks 18A, 35, 36, 49, 51, 21, 32B, 32A, 47, ID, 1A, 7B, 7A, 15, 22, 31B, 31A, 46, 23, 30, 38, 45, 55, and 62, Official City Survey (1939) of Pleasant Grove City, Utah. Section 7. This ordinance shall become effective on the 7th day of January, A. D. 1941. Passed by the City Council of Pleasant Grove City, Utah, this 7th day of December, A D. 1940. V. N.
