Show Anierican FGrk Firct Ward Takes Honors In Tri-Stake ::lx--r Scene Adapted From Book of Mormon Mor-mon Delights Audiences: Lehi Fifth. American Fork Second and Manila Wards Tie For Second Place. The American Fork First ward was victor in the Tri-SJake Road show consisting of the two best acts frojn the Ichi, Alpine and Timpano-gos Timpano-gos stakes held Monday evening, November 25, in Lohi, American Fork an'd Pleasant Grove. The scene, which was adapter from the Book of Mormon, and entitled "We Stand For The Preservation Of Our Heritage Thru Obedience To Law" ! delighted the audiences, which were large and appreciative in each town. he American Fork Second, the Iehi Fifth and Manila wards tied for second place, each ward receiving 15 points. The winning act received 2S points, which was nearly double that of their competitors- The nine judges, three in each town, based their scoring by giving 5 points for first place, 3 points for second and 1 point for third honor. They found it a difficult matter to determine the degree of honor for the acts, as all were very beautifully presented and proved to be of the highest class of entertainment. Three of the judges were from the Brigham Young university and the others were composed of two competent people from each stake. The winning troupers were easy favorites in the three towns, and gave a high class presentation. The act's theme was one of beauty and a truly beautiful message was con veyed throughout. The singing and dancing woulj be hard to excell. A lot of credit is due Mrs- Myrtle Seastrand, president of the ward's Y. L. M. I. A., the originator of the idea, and director of the production. The cast, too, are to be highly com-mende( com-mende( for their efforts in portraying portray-ing so splendidly their respective roles. The cast and the part inter- preted are as follows: King Coriantimur Axel Bloom-quist; Bloom-quist; The Prophet Moroni Howard Mendenhall; A Laminite Chieftain Rulon Nicholes; King's Daughter Melissa Greenwood; Ncphite Maidens Maid-ens Ethel Brown, Mildred Wanlass, Selma Seastrand, Erma Logsdon and Faye. Ellison ; Lamanite Maidens Mette McAllister, Genevieve Seastrand Sea-strand and Millie Steele; Trumpeter Clark Condor-Others Condor-Others responsible for the success of the act were: Music Mary Humphries, Hum-phries, Gwen McGrcw, Ixjuella Greenwood; Lighting Jack Iverson, Jarvis Aydellotte, Helmer Bloom-quist; Bloom-quist; Stage Business Roy Green, wood, Ida Haag, Allen llloomquist; Costumes and make-up llaydee Iverson, Hannah Aydclottc and Dona Grant. A Prize of $10 was jiroscnlctl to the winning ward. Another prize of $10 was prrKeiiled to those winning second place, which will lie divided, each one sinning in the honor. The American Fork Second ward's act was "The Spirit of The Dell" and portrayed the routine followe at Mutual Dell, the three Klakes summer sum-mer mountain home. The lighting was cKperially beautiful in tills act. Tehi Fifth wartl'H was "The Ten Co7TimanlinentH", and held everyone's Interest most intensely during ita Xirestnbit ion. Manila's act was "Our Heritage", and drew Its Bhare of applause ap-plause for Its beauty and uniqueness. unique-ness.
