Ozone is a modification of ordi-. nary oxygen, having three atoms to hhe molecule instead of only two ; but his extra ntom is what makes the 'ifference, giving ozone the proper-ies proper-ies of a germ killer. In purifying water an electric de-ice de-ice converts oxygen from the air Into In-to ozone, and this ozonized air Is blown into the water to be treated, much as is done with chlorine gas.
