Show Stake Convention Date Announced A convention for all the stake and ward workers of the Alpine Stake will be held next Sunday in the tabernacle. The convention will commence at 9 a. m. with a meeting for stake and ward workers, with another sei'.sipn following at 10:25 a. m. Both meetings are to be held in the west room of the basement. At 2 p. m. a meeting will be held in the auditorium to which the general gen-eral public is invited. John H. Smith and Mrs. Nellie Taylor of the Salt Lake temple, will be present and address the meetings. meet-ings. A special feature of the afternoon af-ternoon also will be the display of a model ship, a replica of the barges used by the Jaredites in crossing the ocean, mentioned in the Book of Mormon. The model was built by Niels Larson of Vineyard, formerly form-erly a sea captain in Denmark, who died two months ago. Mr. Larson's son, Hyrum M. Larson, of Highland, High-land, will give an explanation of it. The boat may be viewed by anyone interested in seeing it. All members of the High Council, Bishops, or one of the bishopric, are asked to attend the convention together to-gether with all Genealogical workers. work-ers. o |
